Saturday morning rides leave from the Bartow Civic Center on Floral Avenue, Bartow, Florida. 
Ride Start time:   8:00am (7:30am during the summer months)
"A" group rides 60-100 miles averaging 21mph
"B" group rides 30-50 miles averaging 18-20mph

RIDES...LEAVING OUT OF SOUTHGATE SHOPPING CENTER,  LAKELAND, FLORIDA...


The Southgate Shopping Center was built in 1957.  It appeared in the 1990 movie "Edward Scissorhands."

The official Polk Area Bicycling Association riding events are normally scheduled every Saturday morning at 7:30am
at various designated locations throughout Polk County.  Refer to the ride schedule located on this web site.
We do, however offer unofficial, non PABA sponsored rides scheduled during the week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
mornings starting out of the Southgate Shopping Center parking lot located on South Florida Avenue in Lakeland. 
Ride destination and distance is determined the morning of the ride by consensus of the group.

Ride Start Times for weekday rides:
Lakeland
January and February...........8:00am
March thru May ...................7:30am
June thru August .................7:00am
September thru December ...7:30am

Monday Evening Ride around serene Lake Hollingsworth.  Rides leave from Bent's Bicycle Shop at 6:00pm with a pick-up at

Ride start time from east Lake Wales....8:00am-winter;  7:30am-summer!
Paceline 18-20mph average;  Weekdays 25 -30 miles;  Weekends 40-50 miles
Usually take either Monday or Friday off.

RIDES...LEAVING OUT OF THE WINTER HAVEN BIKE SHOP, WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA...

Ride start time from the Winter Haven Bike Shop...
A group departs 7:00am at the bike shop.  Group will ride anywhere from 35-65 miles,
average speed is 20-28mph. There is a stop halfway into the ride..

B group departs 7:15am at the bike shop. Group will ride anywhere from 35-45 miles. 
No rider is left behind.  Average speed is 16-20mph, depending on the group that day, 
There is a stop halfway into the ride.  All riders need to be able to hold at least a 16mph speed.
